POWAY NURSERY - Poway Nursery has been providing advice to local residents on selecting plants, growing and maintaining their yards for over 50 years. The nursery was established by the late Lawrence Smith who by locals was known as Mr. Smith. His knowledge of horticulture was vast and was delivered in a friendly manner. The Nursery quickly became known for its personal service and hardy plant material zoned for the local area. The Nursery was sold in 1988 and purchased by Tim Thornbury, a former employee of Poway Nursery. The nursery today still maintains a focus of personal service started by a man with a vision over 50 years ago.

T. G. THORNBURY LANDSCAPE - Tim Thornbury started his landscape career at Poway Nursery in the early 1970's. After serving a four year apprenticeship under Lawrence Smith at the nursery he became a licensed landscape contractor in 1977. Years later with the owner of the nursery looking to retire Tim Thornbury purchased the Poway Nursery and today combines both the nursery and landscape. Tim's younger sister Mary Pitino manages the nursery while Tim's focus is on landscaping. Combining the two became a winning combination.

Since 1977 our niche has been helping homeowners with their relandscaping projects. We have experience in helping customers to renew an old landscape. We also provide services for new home landscaping. Consultations and designs are available. What has been a success for T. G. Thornbury Landscape over the years is starting and completing one job at a time with attention to detail and communication with the customer.
